The Embler Family - Don is your Pepper Sauce Camp Host
Nestled in Northeast New Mexico’s Moreno Valley, the family owned and operated Pepper Sauce Camp is pleased to offer nightly and weekly cabin rentals. The compound is home to 4 cabins, 4 apartments and a charming three bedroom main house complete with a commercial kitchen.
Only about a mile outside of Eagle Nest, eight miles from Angel Fire and thirty five miles from Taos, the camp is located on the Enchanted Circle Byway and makes a great home-base for exploring the Sangre de Christos Mountains and the many exciting adventures that they offer. The 2200 acre Eagle Nest Lake is quite literally in our backyard and is stocked annually with Rainbow Trout and Kokanee Salmon.
Nearby there is PGA level golf, hot air balloon and horseback rides, whitewater rafting on the Rio Grande, fly fishing on the Cimarron River or perhaps a visit to one of the local wineries is more your style. How about a tour through old town Taos with a side trip to the hundreds of years old Taos Pueblo? You can bike, hike, canoe, rent a motorcycle, eat out, go shopping, watch the amazing sunrise and learn why it's called 'Angel Fire' in the first place. And of course, the sunsets over Wheeler Peak (elev. 13161 feet) are nearly as incredible as the night sky filled with more stars than you can imagine.
